With so many states to choose from to practice law, Ciara knew she wanted to stay close to home and work in a community that she cherishes, which is the reason why she chose Wisconsin as the state where she would pursue her dream of practicing law. Her journey began with long commutes to Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she graduated with honors, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Business Administration.
What distinguishes Ciara’s educational experience from others is that she had her son, Kanyon, in her junior year of college. On top of commuting and attending school full-time, she raised her son as a single mother for the first few years of his life and began studying for the LSAT with the goal of continuing her education at Marquette University’s Law School.
She is now a proud 2024 graduate of Marquette Law School, a place where she was not only able to excel educationally in the top half of her class, but also one where she was given the opportunity to make a connection with Wynn at Law, where she clerked for two years while in law school and prior to joining the firm as an associate attorney. Her prior experience has given her knowledge of all the ins and outs of the firm, giving her a leg up in her transition from clerk to attorney.
In her free time, Ciara enjoys any sort of outdoor or health-related activity with her son and husband, from long bike rides to collecting sticks and bugs, snowboarding, crafting vegan recipes, and going to hot yoga with her friends. Whether it be in her personal or professional life, Ciara maintains the utmost discipline with herself, as she is a firm believer that a healthy body equals a healthy mind and that you need both to continue to learn and grow, as the pursuit for knowledge is endless.
